Thanks for update the Jnes but there's still a problem! Some games like Cheetahmen and Action 52 does not have a mapper support! Can you please fix that?
First of all I think you meant subscription fee Squall! ;v) I suggest you go look up the definition of submission! ;v)
OK, now about the fixes to the emulator. I think in fixing one think you killed something else. I have a lovely Xbox 360 controller but it's no longer recognizing it I even tried saving out the the .ini and copying it back over after installation and THAT didn't even work!
I have no plans on windows phone, fees aside I don't actually have one to try out, and more importantly perhaps I don't think Microsoft welcomes emulators in their app store for mobile, I've heard that they do allow it in the desktop store oddly.

I took a look and nothing at a glance has even changed regarding input devices, when you say this is broken are you comparing it to the 1.1 release?
Hey man thx for the new release, I've been waiting for a Ninja Gaiden 2 bug fix for some time now... Also I would like to report another bug, this time on Rad Racer 2.The whole road and background collors are glitched, except for part of the sky. You can still see where you are driving due to the gray shapes, but it's still pretty messed up, hope you guys can fix that in the future.
Also, any possibilities of using the mouse to play duck hunt?
That is pretty terrible, did the previous release crash too? I don't have Windows Vista handy to try that out unfortunately, I'll have to get back to you. Can anyone else confirm this?

you bet your ass! I guess everyone saw that unbeatable AVGN review on the mentioned titles, therefore needless to say they're utterly totally abso-f**king-lutely crap. craving to play that title is like wishing that a flying by birdie cacks some bloody turd right upon your happy face - to coin a phrase.
Hello I have Jnes 1.1.1..I am running Windows 7 32 bit and have a USB Retrolink Classic NES Controller device..My Win 7 Software recognizes the USB device but when I go to load up JNES and Super Mario Bros 1 ROM I am not able to make my USB NES device work at all...Any suggestions?
Maybe trying a different driver? I had it too, but for some reason it doesn't recognize GamePad Pro with the suggested one...
Or try to update the drivers.
Jabo,
I have Windows Vista and I don't seem to have any problems with it. But Im unsure after downloading the Jnes 1.1.1.zip that when I open and run that Im running it over my old 1.1.zip... I know that 1.1.1 did run but the Emulator window said 1.1?
I have a question about updating to Jnes Version 1.1.1 . Do you have to uninstall the previous version first? And how to you uninstall Jnes since the program does not appear on my pc's uninstall program list?

Hey Jabo, you didn't answered the question above me
Hey Yoshi, sorry about. Things normally don't get lost like that, unfortunately I've been fighting a lot of spam on the site in the last few months which is a distraction.
I was able to find your translation in the other thread and copy it to my dropbox. I'll make sure it gets into the release package this time.
Thanks Jabo! I was planning to put it on dropbox myself, but again thanks!
Yeah spam just wastes our precious time which could've been used for fun stuff or this... now I know why you're very rarely active here, so I'll remember that when I got something urgent E-mail would be nice... for important stuff.
Yeah I'm now as a guest, somehow it works and then not and then good, totally confusing...
You still have the uninstall question of Sinister which I can't answer as I download via .zip (also install seems to go wrong for some reason...)
How do I fix the missing drawing method missing problem? 1.1 and 1.1.1 only has 'default' and 1.0 has still all of it... I try first the old fashion way, checking the system in the unharmed archive to see if it's still there... I hope it's the problem of the computer which is fixable...
If you look at the Jnes for Android page there is an email address actually, I'd hesitate to recommend people use it for unrelated things but for important things certainly friends are welcome
How do I fix the missing drawing method missing problem?
I'm afraid I don't quite understand what you mean by missing? Are you looking in the windowed or fullscreen? Try increasing the resolution and more filters should appear.
:o well that's awkward, I've switched from 32-bit to 16-bit color, so I guess problem solved
I wonder if it has the same reason for a black screen movie which has a working sound... both at the same time which is weird.
I still haven't tried the Japanese Gradius ROM, so I hope that the flickering won't happen in that (no guarantee). Not sure what causes it, but maybe the most logical: Too much sprites in a line
I have a question about updating to Jnes Version 1.1.1 . Do you have to uninstall the previous version first? And how to you uninstall Jnes since the program does not appear on my pc's uninstall program list? Its a little weird that no one can or wants to answer this simple question.
There's an issue with The Legend of Zelda. Whenever you refill your hearts. There's a buzzing noise instead of the usual sound effect. Is there a way to fix this?
I really like Jnes but I have ran into a critical error. It worked fine for awhile until I minimized the screen one day and then the screen went black and since then it stops responding and crashes everytime I try to load any rom. I have the latest version and run Windows 7 64-bit, Corei7 with 8gigRAM. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it happens everytime now no matter what. Does this mean I can't use Jnes ever again!? Help!
P.S. When I load certain VirtualBoyAdvance old GameBoy roms it changes the color wo Windows 7 Basic. During this time I can load a game on Jnes! I hope this helps you to fix this MAJOR because Jnes is the best NES emulator but having to do this everytime I load a rom is riduculous.
I like the the way how the movies are made by .jmv files, but the problem is that it create a small movie as NES games are very small, so if I convert the movie to a higher resolution (I use a program which limits the loss of quality from the original file) and it lose the sharp quality as it's way too small
Can you add a function that tells you what size you want to use? Same system as the emulator video (original size or 2x, 3x, 4x the size).
A hotkey for recording/play movie would be great too, everything has a hotkey except movie and sound
Edit:
Just noticed the new save states, where can I request a save state? I'd like to add a Gradius save state in which you start at loop 4 or 5 (recently made it until loop 4 stage 1 NO MISS (just behind my best ever streak).
I don't think it gets any harder after 6-7 loops due to NES limits, but I can't manipulate the difficulty system by Cheat Engine.... (you can add lives, limit is 99)
Just updated to Jnes 1.1.1 and unable to run all of my games in fullscreen mode. As soon as I select the full screen option I get the Windows error sound and Jnes Crashes. It then generates the a Windows Popup saying Jnes encountered a problem and needs to close, then asks me if I would like to send an error report to Microsoft. I am using WinXP SP3
No sadly not right now, truth is I ain't got four friends so you have a leg up on me there
Could you add in an Insert coin support for System Vs player ROM's and also support for Mapper's above #33?
VS Sounds reasonable, what VS games do you fancy? normally I just play the original versions? Jnes supports quite a number of mappers over #33 actually.
Can you add a function that tells you what size you want to use?
Not sure why you why you are trying to resize it, but if you are after post processing I suggest a better player like media player classic, it has fairly good post shader capabilities.

Umm I suppose you could throw me a link here and I can try to add them
Sure would have been nice if there was even at least an option of individual volume sliders for each instrument. I know you said no to doing the whole pan slider thing like what's in NotSoFatso for Winamp (and Disch's old emulator, Schpune....
But seriously, even just having volume sliders for the Square1, Square 2, Triangle, Noise, PCM and stuff would be great because then I'd actually be able to tone down sounds that are way too overpowering in some games... even an emulator as old as NNNester_J 0.23 from like, 2000, has had this feature...
I get that you're all about being "minimal" but this is different from what I was asking for before here ~ http://www.emutalk.net/threads/24100-Feature-Request/page6 ~ with the panning sliders. At this point, I'd be content just to have the individual volume sliders from NNNester_J. Yeah yeah, I can just stick with that, but it doesn't have stero, it doesn't have the hq3x filter, and it doesn't have the built in Game Genie code library like yours does.

I'll see what I can do as it's not unreasonable, I know some channels can be irritating.
You have to understand I get feature requests all the time so depending on when I hear it my opinion may change.
Fullscreen status messages like "State saved" are freezing the emulation for several seconds! Please make an option to turn these messages off, I do'nt need them, it ruins the game experience. I need to exit fullscreen mode every time I want to save game.

That it's a bit surprising, have you tried updating your graphics drivers? That's been in there for years I'd be hesitant to get rid of it, what kind of system are you hitting this issue on?
is there a way that I can tranfer my file of the old Jnes to this new one.
Yea you can copy the files out of the saves folder and copy them accordingly. If you installed Jnes into the Program Files directory on Windows 7 and higher, you may need to hit the "Compatibility Files" option in the toolbar to see all the saves.
When I load a new rom, the window jumps to the left.
Also, would be nice to have a NotSoFatso-esque "mixer"
screen for the Audio... so that certain tones can be
lowered or raised, and also so that the volume / pan
of individual channels can be raised or lowered.
Had no idea JNES was updated again, this is now the best one out there in my opinion with only one thing holding it back. This was mentioned above but if a 'no sprite limit' option was added, this would help on full screen HD displays, along with the hq4x filter of course.
Is there a way to change the Save and Restore State buttons (F5 and F7), to buttons on my controller? Considering I have so many extra controller buttons, it would be nice to have that option on the Windows version as well.
Allow more than 8 sprites on a scanline would be nice to have, FCEUX got it and there's no flicker when activated. Of course non-NES, but it's a suggestion
Oh and off topic: Copyright is outdated (see bottom)
I just wanted to post a BIG BUG that I found in v1.1.1.29. A lot of the games for some reason the auto-fire function doesn't work in the games anymore. I'm not going to list them all, but its hit and miss. If you want to see this bug in action try playing all 3 of these games back to back
These are all the (U) versions of the .nes roms. Other games like TMNT2 work fine but these are just 3 where the auto-fire has stopped working in game. Not sure if this has been posted as of yet.
I confirmed this is a bug in 1.1.1.29 because when I reverted back to the old version 1.1.0.25 the auto-fire works again in those games and the many countless others that are broken. If you have a chance you can test it out on these roms. I gave these ones specifically because I noticed them right away. Not sure how many games are broken but more then 10+ that I have discovered so far. In the previous version the auto-fire is working flawlessly.
Not sure if this has been posted already or not, but I wanted to bring this to your attention.
A lot of the games for some reason the auto-fire function doesn't work in the games anymore
Thanks for the feedback, I wasn't aware it wasn't working in those games. Certainly I will look at this as time permits, it's inconvenient I suppose, glad a previous version works.
Mr Gimmick (a Sunsoft game released in Japan and Europe only) has a lot of graphical glitches, even when I'm playing on the PAL setting.
Could you please fix that problem?
I will look at it when I have time, but I've played that game and never had any issues with it. It's possible it got broken recently, but it may also be the copy of the game you have, just thought I'd mention that.
I've upgraded to windows 10 a few weeks back, and I have noticed that JNES won't run any rom with the sound enabled. With the sound off, it runs just fine . When I turn the sounds on, it slows down to a crawl (4-6.34 FPS).
Hey, is there any way to toggle a specific speed with F4? With the limiter off everything runs way, way too fast to be at all recognizable, but being able to set the speed to x2 or x3 would be really useful
Is it possible to control the emulator via gamepad while the emulator is in the background? A few nights ago I was playing Dragon Warrior; and I swear I had it in the background while I was playing it, because I was chatting to people while I played.
Now I can't get it to do the same thing; so now I'm convinced I'm going crazy because I was so sure I was playing it in the background, but can find no literature on whether its possible or not.
I love this Rom but is there any way that we can make in compatible with an Xbox One controller? Everytime i try to map the buttons to my controller it freezes. Any kind of help/advice would be helpful. I miss being able to play the NES games of my childhood and this is the perfect way to relive those days. Thanks.
I can no longer get Jnes to work correctly on my laptop. Running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (same OS I've always had on this laptop), but recently, Jnes loads only to the taskbar. If I mouse over the Jnes spot in the taskbar, the image of Jnes shows as if it were on my screen, but it's not. I cannot figure out how to correct this. Anyone have suggestions? I can't access anything in Jnes such as toolbars, because Jnes never actually appears as a window on my screen, no matter what I do. Thanks!
